Every once in awhile we do some old songs that the Four Eagles used to do way back in the 1930s, that they was still singing when I joined the group… "Let's see if you can remember this one." We hear somebody in the crowd say "I haven't heard that in so many years." So that makes me feel good to refresh people's memories on those songs.

It's what I like about singing. When I'm singing, I like for people to hear the words that I'm saying. A lot of groups play the instruments so loud, you see them up there and their mouth working, but you don't know what they're saying … So we just learned to say that we're going to stick with the original singing. It's hard, but we like it. You don't have any instruments. So when you come straight from the shoulders with it, anybody make a mistake, everybody gonna know it.
